CARE AND HEALTH

While the sphynx cat has a lack of hair or fur to groom, they are not maintaince free. Since they have very fine hair or almost none at all, dirt and dust stick to their skin, just like on human skin. What would happen if you didnt wash your hands or you walked barefoot? Skin needs to be washed. We personally wash our sphynx cats every day or every other day with a mild tear free baby shampoo, and washcloth, it only takes a few min to wash and dry,  plus they love being clean and will run around the house, in their happy crazy mode after the bath/shower.  Their ears also tend to accumulate dust and ear wax as well, so cleaning their ears with  q-tips after the bath is simple and easy. Using a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip or mild ear cleaning product, makes removing the oil and bacteria that much easier.  The sphynx also sometimes get red/brownish colored eye goo in their eyes, especially in the morning, using a baby wipe is simple and easy.

We feed our sphynx a protein rich diet of dry Iams kitten food, which is available at all times, for them to free feed from. We also give canned tuna or wet food, in addition we do feed RAW meat. Always have and provide fresh clean water for your animals at all times. If you have any questions,  you can contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions.
